내 블로그 이름을 따온 노래 My favorite things.

미국의 뮤지컬 작곡가이자 피아니스트인 리처드 로저스가 작곡하고 오스카 해머스타인 2세가 작사했다.

영화 '사운드 오브 뮤직'의 OST로도 유명하다.

이 영화는 책 <폰 트랩 가족 중창단 이야기>이 원작이며, 실화를 바탕으로 만들어졌다.

연극으로 만들어질 뻔 했지만, 음악을 위탁받았던 리처드 로저스와 오스카 해머스타인 2세 콤비의 역할이 커져서 브로드웨이 뮤지컬로 탄생하게되고, 그 후 영화화된다.

수녀를 꿈꾸던 마리아가 폰 트랩가에 가정교사로 들어가게되고, 그 집에 있는 일곱 명의 아이들에게 음악을 가르쳐주고 친구가 되는 이야기이다.

아이들의 아버지인 폰 트랩 대령은 마리아의 노래를 듣고 아내와 사별한 이후 얼어있던 마음이 녹게 되고, 둘은 결혼한다.

부부와 일곱 명의 아이들의 행복한 생활은 나치 세력의 압박때문에 오래가지 못하고, 결국 스위스로 망명한다.

OST인 "My favorite things"는 영화에서 마리아가 일곱 아이들에게 불러주는 노래이다.

노래가 끝나고 아이들이 자신이 좋아하는 것을 말하는 장면이 너무 사랑스럽다.
